Stake your SOL, then let it earn trading fees too
Solana · liquid staking · about a 6-minute read · numbers as of October 13, 2026
The short version
Turn SOL into JitoSOL and it earns staking rewards (about 4.5% a year). Pair JitoSOL with SOL in our JitoSOL/SOL pool and it also earns trading fees, while Auto Snuggle keeps your range in place.
The honest catch: half of a pool position sits in plain SOL, which doesn't stake. So the pool beats simply holding JitoSOL only when your range earns more than roughly 2.6% a year in trading fees. The calculator below shows where that line is for you.
01 · The idea
What liquid staking is
Staking SOL normally locks it up. Liquid staking gives you a token instead, called an LST (liquid staking token), that keeps earning staking rewards and can still be traded, lent or put in a pool. The token doesn't pay rewards out; it grows in value against SOL, so 1 JitoSOL is worth a little more SOL every few days.
| Token | Issued by | Staking yield (a year) |
| JitoSOL | Jito (adds MEV tips) | 4.48% (30-day avg 4.85%) |
| BNSOL | Binance | 4.51% |
| mSOL | Marinade | 5.07% |
| JupSOL | Jupiter | 5.46% |
| INF | Sanctum Infinity (also earns swap fees) | 5.65% |

02 · Why it pairs well
Why an LST and SOL belong in the same pool
- They move together. JitoSOL is SOL plus accumulated rewards, so the JitoSOL/SOL price only creeps upward, about 0.4% a month. That means very little impermanent loss, the main cost of providing liquidity.
- Tight ranges stay in range. Because the price barely moves, you can use a narrow range, and a narrow range collects a bigger share of the fees per dollar.
- Two incomes from one deposit. The JitoSOL part keeps staking; the whole position earns a cut of every trade that crosses your range.
The trade-off: a calm pair means calm fees. This pool charges 0.01% per trade, and roughly half your position is plain SOL that isn't staked. You're swapping some staking yield for trading fees, and that only pays when the fees are big enough.
03 · Step by step
From SOL to a working position
- Get JitoSOL. The quickest way is to swap part of your SOL for JitoSOL in your wallet's swap screen (Phantom, Solflare and Backpack all have one) or on Jupiter. You can also stake directly on Jito's site, which mints JitoSOL at the exact exchange rate. Keep about 0.05 SOL aside for network fees.
- Keep the rest as SOL. A position in range holds both tokens. Near the middle of your range that's roughly half and half; the Add page works out the exact amounts for the range you pick, so you don't have to.
- Open the Add page at quantumpools.io/add.html and choose Raydium → Solana → Liquid Staking → JitoSOL/SOL.
- Connect your wallet: Phantom, Solflare or Backpack.
- Pick your settings. Liquid-staking pairs suit narrow widths, so start from the Best Fit preset. Leave Auto Snuggle on: when the slowly rising price leaves your range, the vault moves the position back without swapping. See how to choose your settings.
- Enter your amount and confirm with one signature. Your position appears on the home page under Your Solana positions, with Withdraw, Harvest Fees, Snuggle Now and Add Funds buttons.
04 · What you earn
Does the pool beat just holding JitoSOL?
return ≈ staking on the JitoSOL half + trading fees on the whole position − 15% of those fees
Our only charge is 15% of the trading fees your position earns. We never take from your deposit, and staking rewards stay inside the JitoSOL token, untouched.
A simplified illustration, not a promise: it assumes half the position is JitoSOL and ignores the small range drift between snuggles. Your real fee rate is the Earnings Rate on your position card.
What the pool is doing right now
| Raydium JitoSOL/SOL | October 13, 2026 |
| Fee per trade | 0.01% |
| Liquidity in the pool | $1.76 million |
| Trading volume, last 24 hours | $172,000 |
| Fee rate spread across the whole pool | ≈ 0.36% a year |
That last line is the average for liquidity spread everywhere. A narrow range near the current price earns a multiple of it, because it owns a bigger slice of the liquidity trades actually use. The Add page shows the rate for your exact range before you deposit. If it shows less than the break-even line above, holding JitoSOL on its own is the better choice, and we'd rather you knew that.
05 · Risks, plainly
What can go wrong
- A depeg. If JitoSOL trades below its real value (for example during a rush to sell), the pool hands you more JitoSOL at the discount. You can wait for the price to return or redeem through Jito, but your position is worth less while it lasts.
- Range drift. JitoSOL's price against SOL only rises, so the position slowly drifts out of range. Auto Snuggle moves it back, and a very narrow range snuggles more often.
- Smart-contract risk. Your deposit relies on Jito, Raydium and the QuantumPools Solana vault program. Our Solana programs have not had a third-party audit yet; see the audit page for what has been reviewed. Only deposit what you're comfortable having at that risk.
- Getting back to SOL. Withdraw from your position card at any time to get your JitoSOL and SOL back. Then swap JitoSOL to SOL instantly for a small cost, or unstake through Jito, which pays out at the end of the current epoch (about 2–3 days).
More liquid-staking pools are queued, including mSOL/SOL and INF/SOL. They appear in the pool picker once they open for deposits.
