Pools and prices
Where your earnings come from.
- Liquidity pool
- A shared pot of two tokens that traders swap between. Every swap pays the pool a small fee.
- Liquidity provider (LP)
- Anyone who supplies a pool’s tokens and earns a share of its trading fees. With a deposit, that’s you.
- USDG / DELL
- The example pool used throughout these docs: USDG, a stablecoin meant to hold $1, and DELL, a tokenized-stock token.
- Trading fees
- Each trade pays 1% on the live pool. You earn your liquidity’s share of fees from trades in your range.
- Robinhood Chain
- The public blockchain network (chain ID 4663) where the vault runs. Not the Robinhood trading app.
- Wallet
- The app that holds your keys and signs your transactions. Lost keys can’t be reset by anyone.
- Gas
- The network’s charge for running a transaction, paid in ETH. It goes to the chain, not to QuantumPools.
- CLMM
- Concentrated Liquidity Market Maker: a pool with continuous ticks, the Uniswap v3 model. On Solana: Raydium CLMM and Orca Whirlpools. Your range is a tick range.
- DLMM
- Dynamic Liquidity Market Maker, Meteora’s design: price is cut into fixed bins and a position is a span of them. Only the active bin trades.
- Bin step
- The width of one DLMM bin in basis points. Bin step 200 means each bin is 2% wide; bins × bin step ≈ your range width.
- Active bin
- The one DLMM bin holding the current price. It is the only bin that trades: your span earns while price is inside it and goes idle the moment price steps out.
- Standard pool
- Raydium’s plain pool: every deposit covers all prices (constant product), lift 1×, nothing to snuggle. We do not vault them.
Your range
Where your money works, and when it rests.
- Range
- The price band you choose. Your deposit trades and earns only while price is inside it.
- In range / out of range
- Inside: you hold both tokens and earn. Outside: you hold one token and earn nothing.
- Range width
- How wide your band is, as a percent of price. Every snuggle reopens the width you chose.
- Concentrated liquidity
- Putting your tokens to work in one price band instead of every price, so each dollar earns more there.
- Tick spacing
- How far apart range edges may sit. On the live pool: 200 ticks of 0.01% each, about 2%.
- One-sided range
- A range holding one token, just past price: a new one-token deposit, or your range right after a snuggle. It earns nothing until price enters it. Only a new deposit must wait for price before it can snuggle.
- Range 102–127, price 100: waiting, earns nothing yet
- Impermanent loss (IL)
- How far your position trails just holding the tokens you deposited, before fees. It can shrink if price returns.
The snuggle
One swap-free move puts you back in play.
- Snuggle
- Moving an out-of-range position to the same width just past price, using only the token you hold. No swap.
- Range 80–125, price 200: snuggled to 125.5–196
- Swap-free
- A snuggle trades nothing: no swap fee, no slippage. It is still a public transaction.
- Delay
- How long price must stay out before an automatic snuggle: 0 to 7 days. The app says ‘Rebalance delay’.
- 30-minute average (TWAP)
- The pool’s time-weighted price. It and the live price must both be outside your range before a snuggle.
Only a spike → no snuggle
- Keeper
- Our bot. With Auto Snuggle on, it checks every 1-3 minutes, best effort. It can’t withdraw your funds.
- Auto Snuggle
- Your per-position switch that lets the keeper snuggle after your delay. Off until you turn it on.
- Snuggle now
- Snuggle it yourself: skips your delay, still needs out of range, and you pay gas. App button: ‘Rebalance’.
- Presets
- Ready-made width and delay pairs: Mad Max (tightest), Best Fit (balanced), Easygoing (wide).
- Quantum Drive
- The app’s live optimizer. It suggests a width and delay for a pool from its real price history.

Money
What you earn and keep: $85 of every $100 in fees.
- Performance fee
- Liquidity pools: at most 15% of the trading fees your LPs earn. Copy trading: up to 25%, only when you copy another member’s LP position. Never charged on your deposit or price gains. Referrals don’t lower it; they earn you 2–4% of your friends’ fees.
Illustrative: $100 of fees
QuantumPools fee ↑
- bps (basis points)
- Hundredths of a percent. 1500 bps = 15%.
- Collect Fees
- Pays your earned fees to your wallet. The performance fee is taken at that moment.
- Compound
- Puts your collected fees back into your position so they earn too. The performance fee comes off first.
- Fee setting
- What happens to fees at each snuggle. Default: ‘Half in, half out’. Other-token fees always go to your wallet.
- Add Funds
- A top-up that waits and joins your position at its next snuggle. Nothing is swapped.
- Withdraw
- Close your position any time, even if the owner pauses the vault. You get the tokens it holds now, one or both. No swap.
- Cover Value
- Fees earned ÷ impermanent loss. Above 1×, fees are ahead. Below 1× the app shows it negative: 0.26 shows −3.85×.
- 2.40× ahead−3.85× behindSample numbers
- Slippage
- Price moving against a trade while it fills. Bigger trades suffer more.
- Transfer fee (Token-2022)
- A tax some Solana tokens take on every transfer, e.g. 1%. It hits your deposit, both legs of every snuggle, each harvest and the exit. Any backtest must count it.
- MEV / sandwich
- Bots trading just before and after a public transaction to take a slice of it.
Trust
Only you can withdraw. The owner (our team) waits 48 hours, in public.
- Custodial vault
- The contract holds your position and records you as its owner. Only your wallet can withdraw it.
- Timelock
- A contract that makes every owner change wait 48 hours in public before it can apply.
- Safe (2-of-2)
- The shared wallet that proposes, executes or cancels owner changes. Both of its two signers must sign.
- Pause
- The owner’s brake on new deposits, top-ups and snuggles. It never blocks withdrawals, collecting or compounding.
- Audit
- An outside review of the contract code. See Audit & Security for where Hashlock’s review stands.
